Leeton Shire Council’s DRAFT Building and Stormwater Drainage Asset Management Plans (AMPs) have been placed on public exhibition for 28 days, following endorsement at the March Ordinary Meeting.

The two plans, which complete the full suite of AMPs, are integral documents designed to guide staff and councillors in how Council should manage building and stormwater assets. Further, they provide Council with financial guidance and asset planning strategies for each asset class and will help inform the Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP).

Director Operations, Silas Darby, highlighted the purpose of each AMP, stating, “The Building AMP guides Leeton Shire Council on how to manage building and facilities assets in a responsible manner. This specifically includes delivery objectives, future demand, optimisation of lifecycle management, risks, and funds required.”

“The Stormwater AMP details information about our stormwater assets, which includes drainage pipes, drainage pits, pump stations, kerb and guttering, culverts and stormwater channels. The AMP outlines how Council is aiming to manage these assets responsibly to provide the community with a safe, functional, and fit-for-purpose stormwater drainage system,” he said.

The document can be downloaded from this page and hard copies can be viewed at our main office, Leeton Shire Library, Whitton Post Office, Murrami Post Office & Yanco Shop.

The community are invited to give feedback until 5pm on Sunday, 28 April 2024.
