DRAFT Leeton Shire Community Strategic Plan – Leeton on the Go 2035

The DRAFT Leeton Shire Community Strategic Plan – Leeton on the Go 2035 – is now available for review and comment, following endorsement at the December Ordinary Council Meeting.

The Community Strategic Plan (CSP), which is prepared by Council on behalf of the community, is based on community input and sets out:

• Where we are at today
• Where we want to be in 10+ years’ time
• How we will get there
• Who may be able to contribute to reaching our goals
• How we will know that we’re on track or that we have arrived

Council carried out an extensive community engagement process which involved feedback from 400 residents via a phone survey, direct contact with 113 organisations and a series of focus group sessions. The community was asked what they like about living in Leeton, what they feel needs to be improved and what their aspirations are for Leeton Shire as well as their ideas about how these aspirations could be achieved.

The information gathered during the engagement, which took place between May and November, has fed into the development of the DRAFT Leeton on the Go 2035 CSP. Our gratitude goes out to all those community members that responded, participated and provided feedback.

Now that we have a draft plan, we want to check back with the community to make sure we’ve got it right and to capture any feedback that was potentially missed.

The community is encouraged to provide feedback to Council in any of the following ways:

• BY LETTER: Address to the General Manager, 23-25 Chelmsford Place, Leeton NSW 2705.

Submissions must be received by Council by 5pm on Thursday, 30 January 2025.
