Help Council Develop its Submission to the NSW Rural Health Inquiry
Consultation has concluded
An inquiry has been called into health outcomes and access to health and hospital services in rural, regional and remote New South Wales.
Leeton Shire Council will be providing a submission into the Inquiry with a view to ensuring regional communities like ours have fair access to quality health services.
To assist us in developing our submission, Council is seeking feedback from the community about your experiences and thoughts for all health-related services in our Shire. This will help us to identify any common needs, areas of strength, and any gaps in services required to meet our health needs.
Feedback can be provided to Council in any of the following ways:
ELECTRONICALLY: Complete the survey on this ‘Have Your Say’ online engagement portal at haveyoursay.leeton.nsw.gov.au.
(Hard copies of the survey will be available also at the Council Administration Office and the Leeton Library).
BY EMAIL TO: council@leeton.nsw.gov.au
BY LETTER: Addressed to the General Manager, 23-25 Chelmsford Place, Leeton 2705.
**Feedback deadline to Council has been extended and now closes on 5pm on Thursday 26 November 2020 (instead of by 10pm on Sunday 22 November 2020).**

Council will also be holding two public engagement sessions to seek feedback.

It is important to note that while submissions about individual health care experiences will inform the Inquiry’s thinking about the general provision and availability of health services in non-metropolitan areas, this inquiry will not be conducting investigations or reviews of individual cases.
Specific concerns about individual experiences can be raised with the NSW Health Care Complaints Commission by calling 02 9219 7444 or emailing hccc@hccc.nsw.gov.au). Please note individuals can also make their own submission directly to the Inquiry.
