Council gives public notice of the proposal to name new public roads located in the Subdivision of Lot 13, DP 1253824, Teresa Drive, Leeton NSW 2705. The proposed road names commemorate the family of Bill Arnold, respected Leeton local, builder, and managing director for Hotondo Homes, who are developing the subdivision:

  • Road 1: Richey Road – named for William Richey (1908-1996), Bill’s maternal grandfather, who was a pioneer of the Leeton area and among other things, a respected local sports administrator.
  • Road 2: Pamela Place – named for Pamela Arnold, née Richey (1933-2021), Bill’s mother and a lifelong Leeton resident, who was a noted local tennis and squash player.
  • Road 3: Richard Court – named for Richard Arnold (1927-2015), Bill’s father, who worked as a builder in Leeton for nearly 40 years (1949-1987) and introduced project home building to the area in the late 1970s through his work with Huxley Homes.

The DRAFT proposal, including map showing the location of the proposed roads, will be on display at the Council Administration Building, 23-25 Chelmsford Place, Leeton, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, or available on Council’s website.
