Consultation has concluded

Leeton Shire Council’s DRAFT Fraud and Corruption Policy is on public exhibition for 28 days from Friday 1st November.

After a review of Leeton Shire Council’s current policy register was undertaken in June 2019 it was determined that Council’s policy register lacked a policy on Fraud and Corruption Prevention.

The objective of this new policy is to formalise a framework for the prevention, detection, investigation and correction of fraudulent activity.

Leeton Shire Council is committed to the prevention, detection and investigation of all fraudulent and corrupt activity. Council does not and will not tolerate fraudulent or corrupt practices by Councillors, staff, contractors or others working on behalf of Council and the local community.
