Leeton Shire is blessed with 20 parks, including 16 playgrounds. In fact we have more parks per head of population than most Council areas across NSW. Our parks are scattered across the Shire, including Leeton, Whitton, Yanco, Wamoon and Murrami.

Since 2007 Council has invested over $600,000 in improvements to its playgrounds alone ensuring they are compliant with the current safety standards and provide the latest modern exciting and challenging equipment for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Every year Council spends around $700,000 maintaining our parks and playgrounds. Our biggest proportional investment goes into our 4 'main parks'

Every year Council spends around $700,000 maintaining our parks and playgrounds. Our biggest proportional investment goes into our 4 'main parks' - those being Mountford Park, Central Park, Graham Park and McCaughey Park.

We already know that parks, playgrounds, gardens and open space is very important to our community. What we now want to understand better is what Leeton Shire residents love most about their local parks, how they use their local parks and what ideas you may have to make your local park even more enjoyable.

Your feedback will inform Council's future planning around parks and playgrounds, including where and how our available budget should be spent.
