Gone are the days when you felt safe walking leeton streets at night . A alcohol prohibition whilst a good idea will still not solve the problem. Whilst it may be another revenue raiser and another reason for the police to hassle adolescents who have every right to have a life and a good time what does it achieve. You are not targeting the criminals the ice addicts the pushers the vandals A good survelence system which is now used world wide would achieve convictions and knowledge to the criminals they cannot get away with there actions.
On behalf of "Meg"- could you please ask that the no alcohol zone be extended part way down Wilga street at least to go past the housing flats. I live across the road and the brawling, drugs and booze problem is horrific. If they can't sit outside to party then fight it would give residents in the area a break from this.

Will there be set times for alcohol-free zones or will it be 24/7?
Eg. How will alcohol 'prohibited in Mountford Park' affect local events like "Chill & Grill" or the SunRice Festival, that rely on alcohol service/tastings as a critical aspect of their event within the Park?
Have you consulted with these users?
Will there be exceptions made for Council owned events?
How will "alcohol prohibited areas" affect liquor license applications for Mountford Park?
